LEWIS and CLARK COLLEGE (11/19/10)

Lewis & Clark Agnes Flanagan Chapel Our Celebration
Friday, November 19, 2010
7pm-9pm
7-7:30  - Mini concert on what might be the most powerful organ in the greater metropolitan area.
Lewis and Clark College Agnes Flanagan Chapel 0615 SW Palatine Hill Road Portland, Oregon 97219 (map)

This month we are co-creating the Event with LEWIS and CLARK COLLEGE.  Sharing in the event will be Rabbi Seidel, Catholic Sister Schaeffer, and student body members including Quaker, Christian and Zen Buddhist.\

What a great opportunity this is to invite someone who would never go to church on Sunday morning, but college campus on Friday night? Well, that's a holy different thing.

Along with offerings from many members of many different faiths, I will be giving a lesson that I truly believe is a 401 level lesson in Creating Peace; peace of heart and mind and peace of planet.

Come at seven o'clock to hear a mini concert on what might be the most powerful organ in the greater metropolitan area. There's even a setting on this organ that plays bells. The pipes of the organ are literally hanging from the ceiling down into this circular Sacred Sanctuary.

Just follow the Lewis and Clark signs off of I-5 and from there, continue following the Lewis and Clark signs up Terwilliger Boulevard to the campus.

Also, there is some construction going on in and around the chapel. Because of this the restrooms are to the left of the stage, past the piano and down the steps.

Until then...

Peace be with you,

Barry

PS:   I am so excited to let you know that a writer from USA Today has contacted us. This Friday at three o'clock at Lewis and Clark I will be interviewed for a possible article in USA Today. He would like to know more about this new movement called, "Coexist Celebration."

I was also interviewed by the college newspaper and the article will be in this Friday's edition. They are putting signs up all over campus, "Coexist Celebration this Friday night" and are encouraging their students and greater community to attend. The support has been overwhelming.
